Three-phase grid-tied inverter for PV, battery storage and backup applications. The SE8K-RWB48 model is part of the SolarEdge Home Hub Inverter range and supports DC-coupled energy storage, backup operation and smartphone commissioning via SolarEdge SetApp.

Commissioning is carried out from a smartphone using SolarEdge SetApp.
SE8K-RWB48 three-phase grid-tied inverter with 8000 VA rated and maximum AC output, 900 Vdc maximum input voltage, 13000 W maximum PV input, 98% peak efficiency and 97.6% European weighted efficiency. Backup AC output is 7200 VA with automatic switchover in under 10 seconds. Protection rating is IP65. Operating temperature range is -40 to +60 °C.
Mounting brackets are provided. AC output cable gland diameter is 15–21 mm, battery DC cable gland outer diameter is 2 x 11–16.5 mm, and PV DC input is 2 x MC4 pair. Some functions require additional hardware and a firmware version upgrade. Battery compatibility may depend on firmware support.
Peak inverter efficiency is 98% and European weighted efficiency is 97.6%. Peak battery-to-grid discharge efficiency is 96.1%. The DC-coupled design avoids AC conversion losses during battery charging.
