The Victron BlueSolar MPPT Charge Controller 150V/70A-MC4 is a solar charge controller for battery-based PV systems. It uses MPPT regulation to manage charging from a solar array into 12V, 24V or 48V battery systems, with MC4 PV inputs for panel connection.
Rated charge current of 70A for battery charging from a solar PV array.
Maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 150V absolute maximum, with 145V start-up and operating maximum.
Maximum efficiency exceeds 98% and the unit uses passive cooling with no fan.
Multi-stage adaptive charging with adjustable absorption and float voltages.
Includes PV reverse polarity, output short circuit and over-temperature protection.

MC4 models may require splitter pairs to parallel PV strings. Maximum current per MC4 connector is 30A. PV voltage must exceed Vbat + 5V for controller start-up and then Vbat + 1V for operation. If more PV power is connected, the controller limits input power.
Ultra-fast MPPT can improve energy harvest by up to 30% versus PWM controllers and by up to 10% versus slower MPPT controllers. Maximum efficiency exceeds 98%.
