The Victron BlueSolar MPPT Charge Controller 75V/15A is a solar charge controller for 12V or 24V battery charging systems. It uses MPPT regulation for solar battery charging and includes load disconnect and VE.Direct communication for system integration.
Tracks changing PV conditions to improve energy harvest compared with PWM controllers and slower MPPT controllers.
Supports automatic battery voltage selection for 12V and 24V systems.
Disconnects the load at a preset battery voltage and includes short-circuit protection on the load output.
Provides a VE.Direct interface for configuration and data access with compatible GX or Bluetooth accessory options.
Includes Battery Life control to manage load disconnect and recharge behaviour to help maintain battery state of charge.
MPPT solar charge controller with 75V maximum PV open-circuit voltage, 15A rated charge current and 15A maximum continuous load current. Supports 12V/24V auto-select battery systems, 220W nominal PV power at 12V and 440W at 24V, 98% peak efficiency, adjustable absorption and float voltages, VE.Direct communication and output short-circuit / over-temperature protection.
PV array open-circuit voltage must not exceed 75V. PV voltage must exceed battery voltage by at least 5V for start-up, then by 1V to remain in operation. If more PV power is connected, the controller limits input power. A PV array with higher short-circuit current may damage the controller. Bluetooth requires an optional VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle.
Peak efficiency is 98%. Ultra-fast MPPT is stated to improve energy harvest by up to 30% versus PWM charge controllers and up to 10% versus slower MPPT controllers.
