Cell and Module Technologies

Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC 2.0):

LONGi's second generation HPBC 2.0 back contact cell technology increases energy yield by relocating the cell wiring from the front surface to the rear. This eliminates the light obstruction caused by front-side busbars, allowing the entire front surface to capture sunlight and increasing electricity generation from the same module area. The result is both higher performance and a cleaner aesthetic.

HPBC 2.0 modules also demonstrate strong performance in low-light conditions, maintaining energy generation throughout the day.

Zero Busbar (0BB) Design:

Removing busbars from both the front and rear of the cell allows ribbons to connect directly to the cell fingers, shortening the energy transfer path and delivering up to 5W of additional output per module. Precision laser etching and advanced transparent insulating materials further improve efficiency by minimising leakage current and enhancing light absorption.

N-type TaiRay Wafers:

LONGi's proprietary n-type TaiRay silicon wafers offer high resistivity distribution, low impurity levels and superior mechanical strength compared to conventional p-type wafers.

Shading Optimisation, Hot Spot Reduction & Power Temperature Coefficients:

LONGi modules incorporate integrated shading optimisation that redirects current flow around shaded cells, preventing the disproportionate output loss that typically occurs when part of a panel is shaded. This makes the modules well suited to installations where shading from surrounding structures or vegetation is a factor.

The same technology prevents localised overheating of shaded cells, reducing the risk of hot spots, panel degradation and fire. Low power temperature coefficients ensure consistent performance in hot and humid climates.

Tempered Glass:

Front-surface tempered glass provides enhanced resistance to hail impact and snow loading. The premium EcoLife modules are engineered to withstand snow loads of up to four metres depth and hurricane-force winds, and carry up to a Class A fire rating.

Warranties

The Hi-MO X10 range panels are backed by a 25-year product warranty (when purchased from CCL) and 30-year power warranty. The EcoLife modules within the range offer a 30-year warranty for both linear power and product.
