The SMA Energy Meter is a grid-connected energy meter for measurement and energy management in SMA PV systems. It provides phase-exact, balanced measured values for grid feed-in, purchased electricity and PV generation, with Ethernet communication for local network integration.

EMETER-20 energy meter with 230 V/400 V nominal voltage, 50 Hz/±5% frequency and 1% measurement accuracy. Rated current/limiting current per line conductor is 5 A/63 A, with loads above 63 A supported via external current transformers. Ethernet communication is via 10/100 Mbit/s RJ45. Dimensions are 70 x 88 x 65 mm, weight 0.3 kg, with top-hat rail mounting in switch or meter cabinets. Operating temperature range is -25°C to +40°C and ingress protection is IP2X.
