The SolarEdge PCS050 is a 50 kW AC-coupled battery inverter for grid-tied energy storage sites. It is specified for on-grid operation with a nominal 400/230 Vac three-phase output and is used with SolarEdge AC-coupled PV systems.
Rated AC active power output of 50 kW, with maximum AC apparent output power of 55 kVA.
Intended for sites with an AC-coupled SolarEdge PV system.
Includes reverse polarity protection, grid monitoring, earth fault protection, earth leakage protection and integrated DC and AC surge protection.
IP65 enclosure
Backup operation is available with the complementary SolarEdge Commercial Backup Interface in selected countries only.
50 kW rated AC active power output, 55 kVA maximum AC apparent output power, 400/230 Vac nominal output, 340–440 Vac output range, 50/60 Hz operation, up to 80 Aac per phase, <3% THD, power factor range -1 to 1, maximum efficiency 97.5%, IP65 enclosure, air cooling, RS-485/CAN communication, operating temperature -20 to +45 °C.
AC input cable cross section: 25–35 mm2 with M6 lugs. Use copper cables only and flexible multi-stranded class 6 conductors where specified. When paralleling two battery cabinets on a single inverter, a CSS-O1-C-B01-XX cabling extension kit is required. For backup topology with the SolarEdge Commercial Backup Interface, only 3W + PE are used.
Maximum inverter efficiency is 97.5%. The product datasheet also references SolarEdge ONE optimisation modes including self-consumption, peak shaving and tariff optimisation; availability of some modes may vary.
